100 years ago, the FICT was created by French charcuterie companies with the ambition of uniting to collectively meet challenges. This ambition is still valid today.
100 years on, the FICT and its partners continue to proudly and responsibly promote French charcuterie expertise, “made in France”, and even in the territories, and to contribute to national food sovereignty and the pleasure of the French.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the Assises 2024 special “100 years” took place, and we were proud to take part, with the distinction of privileged partner. This unique event brought together the entire profession, the industry and all the institutional partners and political figures committed to French charcuterie.
The conference highlighted :
- The French people’s strong bond with charcuterie, a pillar of their culinary heritage.
- The profession’s efforts in the face of unprecedented economic challenges: shrinking margins, weakened competitiveness and global competition.
- The answers we provide for the future: innovate to adapt recipes to meet consumer expectations, reduce our environmental impact, and continue to support production and processing in France.
The objective was clear: to strengthen the resilience of our industry while anticipating the needs of tomorrow.
